Register for EmPower Women’s Leadership Conference
RIDGEFIELD, Wash. — Women in trades careers will join together for the EmPower Women’s Leadership Conference on March 8-9, 2020, at the Ilani Casino Resort to celebrate their success as leaders, inspire other women to find and embrace their inner leader, and showcase the possibilities when women succeed in breaking barriers. Union sisters, brothers and siblings who attend will join this shared movement to encourage more women to “lean in” as leaders and support recruitment and success of more women into these career opportunities.
April Sims, Secretary Treasurer of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, is scheduled to deliver the opening speech and welcome to attendees. Keynote speakers will be Zenovia Harris, CEO of the Kent Chamber of Commerce and President of the Pacific Northwest Diversity Council, and Jamie McMillan, a journeylevel Ironworker/Boilermaker and founder of KickAss Careers.
