April goes Live@5 again on Facebook this Thursday, April 23
TACOMA — April Sims, Secretary Treasurer of the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO, will be hosting another Facebook Live event this Thursday, April 23 at 5 p.m. at the WSLC’s Facebook page (follow it!) to discuss the issues that matter to working people during this crisis.

Sims last hosted a Facebook Live event April 3 during which she explained what federal and state assistance is available to Washington’s working families amid the coronavirus pandemic. She explained the basics of what the federal CARE Act offers, Washington state programs that are available, and answered specific questions from participants — all while links to these resources were shared in real time.
