WSLC’s virtual Legislative Conference Feb. 4

OLYMPIA (Jan. 21, 2021) — Amid this year’s remote session of the State Legislature, the Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO will conduct its 2021 Legislative Lobbying Conference — also remotely — on Thursday, Feb. 4. As always, participating union leaders, staff and rank-and-file members will have the opportunity to engage with their legislators, only this year they will do some virtual lobbying to support pro-worker legislation. Registration is now open. The fee is $25 per person.

The conference will be from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4. The program will begin with legislative lobbying training. Then participants will get updates on the WSLC’s 2021 Workers’ Recovery Agenda and other pressing legislative issues facing organized labor. Along the way, delegates will meet some key legislators and rising legislative champions. They will also have the opportunity to meet virtually with their district’s legislators and engage in virtual actions supporting the united labor movement’s legislative agenda.
