WSLC hosts vaccination clinic Saturday at Yakima UFCW Hall
YAKIMA — The Washington State Labor Council, AFL-CIO is partnering with the Yakima Health District to conduct a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination event on Saturday, April 3 at the UFCW 1439 Union Hall, 507 S. 3rd St. in Yakima, from 8 a.m. to noon. Some 350 Pfizer vaccines will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to any adult age 18 and up. No appointments or reservations.
This vaccination opportunity is open to all adults — regardless of their status on the state’s tiered eligibility system — because the vaccines will expire if they are not used Saturday. The Yakima Health District, whose team will be conducting the operation and vaccinations on Saturday, will be working with the WSLC and all participants to ensure they have access to the second dose in a few weeks.
“We are excited to partner with Yakima Health District to provide access to the Yakima community and ensure these vaccines do not go to waste,” said WSLC Secretary Treasurer April Sims, who will attend Saturday’s event along with other local labor leaders. “A big thank you to the Yakima Health District and to UFCW 1439 for making their Union Hall available on short notice.”

YAKIMA — El Concilio Laboral del Estado de Washington, AFL-CIO se está asociando con el Distrito de Salud de Yakima para llevar a cabo un evento de vacunación contra el COVID-19 este sábado 3 de abril en la ubicación del sindicato UFCW, localizado en 507 south 3rd Street en la ciudad de Yakima, de 8:00 a.m. al mediodía, 12:00pm.
