Contact state lawmakers to urge their support of CRC

The following is from the Southwest Washington Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO:

CRC-front(April 8, 2013) — After a meeting with Governor Inslee and Lynn Peterson, Secretary of the Washington State Department of Transportation, it has come to our attention that we need to be vocal about statewide support for the Columbia River Crossing, the Interstate 5 bridge replacement project between Washington and Oregon.

Please contact your elected officials to support the Columbia River Crossing and the State Transportation Budget. (Click here for background information on the CRC.) Here are ways that we can be heard:

— Call the Legislative Hotline at 1-800-562-6000 and leave a message for your Senator, both your Representatives AND the Governor to support the CRC.

— Email or use webpage communication form. Find your Senator here and House members here.

— Lobby in Olympia. If you are in Olympia over the next 3 weeks please take to your legislators and let them know that we need to build the CRC!

The following State Senators, in particular, need to hear from CRC supporters:

Sen. Rodney Tom (D-48th) — Email or call 360-786-7694
Sen. Tim Sheldon (D-35th) — Email or call 360-786-7668
Sen. Curtis King (R-14th) — Email or call 360-786-7626
Sen. Don Benton (R-17th) — Email or call 360-786-7632
Sen. Ann Rivers (R-18th) —  Email or call 360-786-7850

But please call and email all of your local elected officials Senate and House, plus the governor. And if you find they are supporting the CRC, don’t forget to thank them.
