Join our Teamster siblings for a two-day festival in July

TUKWILA (June 13, 2024) — Teamsters local 117 invites the broader labor community to a two-day Art of Labor festival on the weekend of July 13-14, 2024 at the Teamsters Union Hall in Tukwila.

The festival will include live art installations, vendors, food, and a ton of fun for Union families, all for a good cause.

WHEN: July 13-14, 10am-5pm

WHERE: 14675 Interurban Ave. S. Tukwila

Are you someone who makes and sells crafts or goods? Do you have an interest in creating visual art? Or do you just wanna come and hang out with a bunch of Teamsters? Join us for this amazing event!

All proceeds from the Art of Labor will go to support the Teamsters Local 117 Jayme Biendl Working Womxn’s Scholarship Fund. Per the local: “This scholarship fund is intended to support working Teamster womxn and their dependents. The Jayme Biendl Working Womxn’s scholarship was established in memory of Officer Jayme Biendl of the Monroe Correctional Complex who was killed in the line of duty in 2011. In 2024, the Teamsters Local 117 Womxn’s Committee will award three scholarships to qualified womxn members and dependents. The term “womxn” is used to be inclusive of all people who identify as women. The scholarship must be used for continuing education or a training/vocational program.”
